  • You choose your treatment experience: combine virtual check-ins using DentalMonitoring with less frequent in-office visits, or regular in-person appointments.

What Happens at Your First Orthodontist Appointment

Choosing to start orthodontic treatment is a big decision! Whether you’re seeking a second opinion, just discovering orthodontics, or you’re ready to start your transformation, we’re here to provide clear answers and expert recommendations.

Step 1: Meet Your Team

First, you’ll be greeted with smiles from our friendly team. That’ll never change!

Our new patient coordinator will give you a tour of the office and get to know a little bit about you. Next, we’ll begin your orthodontic exam.

Step 2: Get Digital X-rays, Scans & Photos

We’ll take a quick digital scan, digital x-rays and any photos we need to see the ins and outs of your smile. All of this information gives us the full picture of your smile, which allows us to create a truly personalized treatment plan just for you.

Step 3: Meet Your Orthodontist

We’ll head over to our consultation room where Dr. Angie or Dr. Chris will examine your smile, discuss our findings with you, help you choose the best orthodontic treatment to align with your priorities, and answer all of your questions.

Step 4: Customize Your Payment Plan

Our friendly treatment coordinator will sit down with you and work out an interest-free financial plan with a down payment and monthly payments that align with your budget.

We’ll discuss your needs, review your insurance benefit, and develop a clear, custom payment plan that makes you feel comfortable.

Step 5: Say ‘Hello’ to Your Beautiful New Smile

Next stop is a confident new smile that you can love for a lifetime. If you choose DentalMonitoring virtual care, you’ll check in with us through the app, every week or other week depending on your treatment plan. We’ll see you periodically for in-person visits, 10 to 16 weeks apart (or shorter/longer depending on your treatment plan.)
